Youth Joining the Pack

Youth Members new to Cub Scouts
For new members the national registration includes a one-time joining fee of $25 and an annual fee of $80. However, it does not include the separate Pack 461 annual dues to support our activities ($120) which include the pack Class-B T-shirt.

1. Youth Members new to Cub Scouts

1. Use Online registration
   • Leave the Boy’s Life magazine subscription unchecked if another boy in your family is already receiving it.
2. Pay Pack461 $120 Annual Due using the Pack 461 Online Store, or you can also give a check to “Cub Scout Pack 461” to Treasurer
3. All parents can create accounts at my.scouting.org and take the Youth Protection Training to learn how we all work together to keep our boys safe.
4. Once they join the Pack, parents can also learn about Pack and Den events and enter and track their scout’s advancement on Scoutbook.

2. Cub Scouts Returning to Pack 461 for a new school year

1. Pay $200 Annual Due using the Pack 461 Online Store, or give a check to “Cub Scout Pack 461” to Treasurer
2. All parents can create accounts at my.scouting.org and take the Youth Protection Training to learn how we all work together to keep our boys safe.
3. Parents can learn about Pack and Den events and track their scout’s advancement on Scoutbook.

3. Cub Scouts transferring to Pack 461

Cub Scouts transferring to Pack 461 please fill out and sign all pages on the paper Youth Application as a Transfer and give it to Committee Chair. Online applications are also available for transfers.

• If you are not receiving Boys’ Life, and wish to do so, check Boys’ Life on the application ($15)

Starting this Fall 2023 an annual Council Participation Fee of $80.00 will be assessed to all youth participating in Cub Scouts. More information is available here: https://www.ncacbsa.org/participation-fee/
